Justice swift for Corozal burglar
Justice in Belize is not often swift, but don’t tell that to a burglar in Corozal. At one-thirty Monday morning police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at St. Paul’s Anglican School. When they arrived they saw a set of bars hanging from a window and four missing louvers. On searching the building the cops found thirty-nine year old Hortencio Tzul hiding in a classroom and took him into custody. Today in Magistrate’s Court Tzul pled guilty to charges of attempted burglary and damage to property. His sentence: five years in Hattieville Prison.
