Elderly receive donation of vitamins
The Santiago Castillo group of companies officially launched a new line of multi-vitamins targeted for people over fifty years old and at the same time extended a helping hand to the care giving institutions for the elderly. Multibionta Fifty is a multivitamin supplement designed especially to meet the needs of older people. And while today’s donation will hopefully spur sales, the ten free cases will be well used.
Kamela Palma, Chairperson, National Council on Ageing
“What is fantastic about this donation where the council is concerned is that it is an example of the private sector becoming involved in issues of older persons; so I must state that. Where the particular vitamins are concerned, it is again on behalf of Santiago Castillo a wonderful gesture to give not to the Council–I think we are simply here to accept–but it is to give to the care giving institutions, the Sister Cecilia Home, the Golden Haven Home and the Octavia Waight Home, examples or sample of these.”
According to Palma, over six hundred people at five institutions will benefit from today’s donation. The estimated value of the ten cases of Multibionta Fifty Plus is one thousand dollars.
