T.S. Nate spares Belize, but twenty killed in Costa Rica, Nicaragua
Tropical Storm Nate has created massive damage and claimed more than twenty lives in Costa Rica and Nicaragua – with Costa Rica declaring national emergency. The weather outlook closer to home as of six this evening shows that Nate is situated some ninety miles north east of Cozumel Mexico. The storm is moving at twenty two miles per hour with maximum sustained winds of sixty five miles per hour. Latest forecast shows that the storm continues to move further away from Belize. There is potential for localized flooding over low lying areas and for flash floods near the south. There are currently no storm watches or warnings in effect for the country of Belize.
