New Defence Minister visits Price Barracks

As the newly elected government gets settled in, the ministers are making their rounds. Taking a tour of the facilities at Price Barracks in Ladyville this morning was Minister of Defence Sylvia Flores. Flores, accompanied by C.E.O. Anthony Sylvester, inspected a Guard of Honour and met with top officers of the Belize Defence Force. As part of plans to improve resources available to our men and women in green, Flores was shown displays of equipment and assets at the B.D.F.’s disposal. Today’s visit to Ladyville is part of a tour Flores has scheduled of B.D.F camps countrywide. Next week, the first female Defence Minister and her delegation will visit Camp Belizario in the Cayo District.
