Pair ‘Stock and Go’ Stout, Monster, Caribbean Chicken
A duo of men was caught with their hands in the cookie jar at the Stock and Go store of businessman Marlon Skeen on November fifth. They were seen on surveillance camera stealing items such as Belikin Stout, a pack of Caribbean chicken and a monster drink. While the value of the items is small, the cost Kenroy Ferguson and Nathaniel Crawford will have to pay to the court is far greater. They were jointly charged with theft for seven Belikin stouts, valued at twenty-four dollars. Ferguson was also charged with theft for allegedly stealing the chicken and a Monster drink, worth forty-four dollars. Crawford pleaded guilty to stealing the stout, while Ferguson took the rap for stealing the chicken and monster drink.
Crawford had nothing to say in mitigation, but Ferguson told Magistrate Aretha Ford that Skeen hired him to clean his compound for a total of two hundred and thirty dollars, but since he only paid him one hundred dollars and had trouble collecting the rest of the money, he stole the items. The workers did not have any previous convictions, so Magistrate Ford fined Crawford six hundred dollars for the stout, which he has to pay by January fifteenth, 2018. Ferguson was fined four hundred dollars for the chicken and monster drink and has until December thirtieth 2017 to pay.
