Woman dies from traffic injuries
Today, her family made the painful decision to remove twenty-four year old Tanya Lamb from a machine that was keeping her alive at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Lamb, the mother of a two-year-old girl, suffered severe head and body injuries following a traffic accident that occurred around 5:30 Sunday evening in Belize City. According to authorities, Lamb and a twelve-year-old girl had just gotten off a bus at the corner of Partridge Street and Cemetery Road when they both ran across the road. Unfortunately, a Dodge pickup was coming at the same time and ran into the pair. Lamb was knocked unconscious and remained in a coma until her death. The twelve year old was injured, but not critically. The driver of the truck was thirty-eight year old Victor Caliz. No charges have yet been filed by police.
