Toledo village connects to high speed internet
For all those beleaguered Belizean computer users still waiting for their dial up connection to connect, tonight there is one more reason to be jealous. The students of San Luis Rey Primary School in San Antonio, Toledo, today inaugurated their high speed satellite internet service. In ceremonies held this morning, Prime Minister Said Musa opened the lab, which features eighteen computers and free internet connectivity. The facility is part of Intelco’s Internet for Schools project, which is only now expanding beyond the Belize District. Also as part of today’s ceremonies, Toledo incumbent P.U.P. standard bearers, Marcial Mes and Mike Espat, distributed two computers each to staff members from the district’s twenty-two primary schools.
