Ombudsman reflects on four years of service
While News 5 was visiting the Ombudsman’s office, we took the opportunity to ask Rodriguez to assess his experience after nearly four years of service.
Paul Rodriguez
“I think it has been largely a very positive experience for me. I would do it over again the same way. There are very few things that I would change. I think that the office has been perceived by me to be what it should be and I think that I wholeheartedly and conscientiously did what I could to improve governance and I will continue to do so for the period of my term, which goes until 2005, July eighth 2005. There are very few things that I would do differently, except maybe that I would keep a, maybe a slightly lower profile and unfortunately, and perhaps in order to get notice for the office, I had to be a bit more high profile during my first term. But I think the important think is that we attend to the business of the people who are aggrieved, we try to get them justice and fair play, and by and large I think that we have done this.”
