City Resident Remanded on Sexual Assault Charge

Tonight, thirty-one-year-old Orlando Fisher of Belize City is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being denied bail for the alleged sexual abuse of a nine-year-old child on two separate occasions.  Fisher appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford and was read two sexual assault charges against the minor.  Allegations are that on June twenty-ninth, 2016 and then again on October seventeenth, 2017, he intentionally and unlawfully fingered the young girl. The court records also show that Fisher owes six hundred and ten dollars for two convictions for possession of controlled drugs for which he has been ordered to serve six months and two weeks in prison.
