Child survives hit and run in Belize City
An eleven-year-old boy is hospitalized at the K.H.M.H. after he was knocked down in front of DK Supermarket on the Philip Goldson Highway. A vehicle stopped and a driver signaled Emmett Burgess to cross the highway, but another vehicle that was overtaking hit the minor. Today when we spoke with the family, they were asking the public’s help to identify the driver. But late this evening police issued a release that says the driver of the vehicle is twenty-nine-year-old Ralph Burns of Lord’s Bank. Burns was served with an N.I.P. Elida Rhamdas told us today that her nephew suffered injuries to the upper body.
