Pedestrian’s haste gets him a “bruk foot”
A child from Ladyville is recuperating from a broken foot after a vehicle knocked him down on his way to school. The child’s mother, Mary Palma, reported to police that six-year-old Otto Palma was attempting to cross Mirage Road around 8:00 this morning when the incident occurred. He apparently misjudged the distance between himself and the vehicle and when he tried to run he was hit by the car, which was driven by twenty-nine year old Kevin Popper of Ladyville. Otto has since been treated and released for the broken right foot and abrasions to his face. Popper will not face any charges.
