Anke Doehm Preliminary Inquiry Put Off to February
In the courts, there is further delay for Anke Doehm, charged with cruelty to a child – her late adopted daughter, thirteen-year-old Faye Lin Cannon. She was scheduled to face preliminary inquiry but after a short appearance the case was adjourned to a date in February of 2018. There is no word on whether the key scientific reports have been completed to be part of the final disclosure for the case. Faye Lin’s battered body was found at the couple’s San Pedro condo in July, and since then they have faced a firestorm of criticism. Anke’s husband David took his own life at the Princess Hotel on October fifth, the same day as a custody hearing scheduled between the Doehms and the father of the remaining three Cannon children, also named David, who remain in the custody of the Human Services Department. Doehm is represented by Senior Counsel Ellis Arnold and remains out on bail.
