Murderers of Baltazar Sarmiento Remain At Large
Baltazar Sarmiento, an elderly watchman, was killed at his place of work last Saturday by a pair of thieves who broke onto the Buca Shell compound on the Phillip Goldson Highway. The sixty-one-year-old Honduran national was fatally shot once to the left temple. While the ordeal was caught on camera, police are unable to break the case because the footage doesn’t clearly make out who his attackers are. According to ACP Joe Myvett, a criminal investigation is still open.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“No, that investigation remains ongoing.”

“So nothing from the surveillance footage as yet that can lead you guys to a suspect?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“No, but the police continue to work on that. I believe that the suspects could not have been clearly identified from the surveillance footage, so the police continue to do their investigation.”
