And P.U.P. parties with elderly in St. Martin’s
It seems even the People’s United Party has finally caught the Christmas spirit. This afternoon, we were invited to a celebration for some forgotten City residents – the elderly population. They were treated to an afternoon and evening out at St. Martin de Porres’ Parish’s Swift Hall, complete with music, food, drinks and special activities. It was all organized by the party’s Belize City Council slate for next year’s municipal elections, led by mayoral candidate Bernard Wagner. Here’s more from P.U.P. leader John Briceño.
John Briceño, P.U.P. Leader
“We are so grateful especially to our elderly who have stuck it out with the P.U.P. They have been with P.U.P. for so many years, they have been loyal supporters of the party and the Christmas time in many instanced some of them are forgotten so we take this opportunity along with the deputy leader Cordel Hyde and other member of the party here in Belize City that we try to organize something for them where we could say in a small way to show our appreciation, our love and our thank you for all that they have done for us.”

“So these are from across Southside, across the city?
John Briceño
“It’s from across the entire city, Belize City.”
We’ll have more from Briceño on Thursday, including how the party spent the Christmas Cheer organized by the government.
