Suspect in Errol Gabourel Murder Also Fingered for Shooting, Copper Theft
There is a suspect in police custody tonight, believed to be the triggerman in the execution-style murder of Errol Gabourel. On Wednesday morning, a body was discovered floating in the river near Roaring Creek Village. When it was retrieved from the water, a single bullet wound was observed on the individual’s head. An autopsy would later confirm that Gabourel died as a result of the gunshot injury. While a suspect is in detention, additional charges are being brought against him in other jurisdictions across the country for unrelated crimes.

“There is an update in regards to the Errol Gabourel murder investigation which occurred in Belmopan on Wednesday last. Police have two persons detained. One of these persons was involved in several other investigations, including the shooting of Jose Najera which had occurred in Belmopan last week, for which he will be charged. This suspect is also in Corozal facing charges for the theft of copper wire which had occurred, I believe from the Smart or B.T.L. tower, he’s facing charges this morning for that before he’s brought back to Belmopan to face other charges.”
