Fine for Late-to-Court Accused in Drug Case

Roger Kenrick Jones

Fifty-two-year-old Roger Kenrick Jones, a refrigerator technician of Belize City, must pay three hundred dollars in fines after being busted with cocaine in December. Jones was caught when a police officer on mobile patrol on East Collet Canal saw him drop an object on the ground, which turned out to be the cocaine wrapped in foil. However, Jones missed his initial arraignment on December fourteenth as he went to the wrong courtroom, the number eight courtroom on North Front Street. He returned to a different courtroom today and pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. His fine is due by April fifteenth, in default two months’ imprisonment.
