Dr. Errol Elrington Still on the Run

Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington has signed the documents relating to a request for extradition for attorney Andrew Bennett from the U.S. State Department. But closer to home, a relative of his remains on the run from U.S. authorities. Doctor Errol Elrington, brother to Wilfred and Hubert Elrington, is listed among the top ten wanted fugitives by the United States Office of the Inspector General in the Department of Health and Human Services. Doctor Elrington, proprietor of the Elrington Medical Center PLLC in the state of Michigan, faces an arrest warrant dating back to October of 2013. He is wanted on charges of racketeering, Medicaid fraud, and healthcare fraud, as well as false billing in a separate case. He fled to Belize less than a day after interviews with U.S. federal and state agents. Elrington, according to the OIG, ran his own facility but worked at a different one. He is accused of falsely billing Medicare and Medicaid more than four hundred thousand dollars for services never performed. And he is alleged to have employed an unlicensed physician who engaged in criminal sexual misconduct with a female patient.
