U.B. registration begins early
The sun was also beating down on students who lined up to register in U.B.’s Business Administration programme at the West Landivar campus. The scholars, some of whom had been waiting since seven a.m. to secure a favourable spot, had to wait a little longer this semester because of an added feature.
Enid Oshon, Registrar, U.B.
“We have added a new station to registration process which, is the new student I.D. Right now we are doing a survey, which will help us with quality control. We need to find out from our students if the services we’re offering them is really meeting their needs and we make adjustments based on that.
“Quite a number of them said yes, the process was much faster, they liked it, it was easier, and some of them did say we could improve a little more at the cashier where we put on more cashiers on line, and we have as a matter of fact, done that.”
The new I.D. card, which has security features, will make certain services like library access available to the students at any time. Later on, it will facilitate on-line registration. In the meantime, registration is taking place this week at all of the U.B. campuses countrywide.
