City Couple Shot in Downtown
A Belize City couple remains hospitalized at the K.H.M.H. tonight after being attacked by a gunman on Tuesday. Thirty-seven-year-old Carolyn Revers was seated inside a parked vehicle along with her boyfriend when they came under gunfire. Residents in the vicinity of North Front Street, near its intersection with Pickstock Street, told News Five this evening that they heard as many as six shots fired. The incident took place sometime before ten p.m. Revers, a human resources manager, was injured during the violent spray of bullets, so was thirty-four-year-old Damian Cattouse. She was shot twice to the upper left arm, while Cattouse was shot in the left side of the chest and right buttock. According to police, the laborer and his girlfriend reported that they heard a barrage of shots being fired, before realizing that they were both injured. This afternoon, we visited the family’s residence where we met a team of officers who told us that the couple was refusing to cooperate with the criminal investigation.
