Robbers Strike Ranchito Salesman in Corozal Town
Corozal police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday morning on Seventh Avenue. Thirty-year-old Edgar Loria, a salesman of Ranchito Village, was on his way to make a deposit at the Belize Bank when he was pulled over by a vehicle that ordered him to stop. Upon parking the Nissan Frontier pickup on the side of the road, a passenger wearing a ski mask alighted the van and pointed a firearm at Loria, relieving him of a deposit bag containing five thousand, seven hundred and fifty-one dollars in cash. The incident is the latest in a series of armed holdups in Corozal Town. Police continue their investigation.
