Artist presents portrait to former P.M.

It’s not the first time he’s had his portrait painted, but the one unveiled this morning appears to have the enthusiastic approval of the subject: former Prime Minister and current Minister of Defence, George Price. The artist, former peace Corps volunteer Suzanne Kohrman, made the presentation herself at the Price Centre in Belmopan.

“Well thank you very much, it’s a work of art and it will occupy a prominent place in the centre. It was very good of you offer and you’ve done a good work too.”

Kohrman, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, worked at the Belize Arts Council from 1999 to 2001, where she taught portrait painting. The image of Price was done in pastels.
