2 More to Join William Godoy in Alfredo Cowo Murder
William Godoy is accused of murder, following the shooting death of twenty-eight-year-old Alfredo Cowo in San Pedro on January sixteenth. Despite having been charged and placed on remand at the Belize Central Prison, his family says that there is an ironclad alibi which proves that the mechanic was not involved in Cowo’s execution. Police say they are also looking for two others as persons of interest in the homicide.

“Alfredo Cowo investigation: is another suspect being actively sought or looked at or detained?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Belize City
“Yes, police are reviewing other surveillance cameras in that area and at a farther distance and at this moment we are looking for two other persons who can help us in this investigation.”

“Mr. Godoy’s family has steadfastly maintained that he had an alibi that he wasn’t there, etc… Might a situation emerge or evolve where the charge is lifted from him if these other suspects are caught?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Well as I told you, we are looking at the two male suspects, two other suspects and if whenever they come into custody, depends on what they have to say then we will see how the investigation will go.”
Reporter
“But for now Godoy is detained as a suspect…”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Godoy has been charged.”
Alfredo Cowo was shot and killed while in the company of his pregnant girlfriend on January sixteenth while they were both seated on a golf cart near Central Park, San Pedro.
