Belize will face Puerto Rico in medal round

It has now been confirmed that Belize’s National Basketball Team has qualified for a shot at a medal in the Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador. This was made possible by the defeat of Mexico at the hands of the heavily favoured Dominican Republic, 79-67. On Thursday Belize will go up against the undefeated Puerto Ricans, while we are not quite sure who the D.R. will pair up with. The winners of those two games will meet Friday for the gold, while the losers will fight for the bronze.
