Arrests made in two city crimes
Having recovered items stolen in a recent robbery, police today formally charged a man for the offence. Nineteen year old Kenroy Clarke has been charged with robbing a salesman of Santiago Castillo Limited on Pen Road two weeks ago. Magistrate Emerita Ascoli granted Clarke bail in the sum of five thousand dollars plus one surety of the same amount. He is to reappear in court on December thirtieth. In the incident, two men robbed the salesman of cash, cheques, and other documents belonging to the company. Police are still looking for a second suspect.
In other crime news, police investigations into a shooting earlier this week have resulted in the arrest of twenty-three year old Gerald Tillett. Tillett is charged with attempted murder and dangerous harm. Twenty-three year-old Jonathan Faber reported to police that he was making a purchase at a Chinese business on Dean Street on Monday when Tillett repeatedly shot at him, hitting him once in the left leg.
