Man wounded in city shooting
A Belize City man is admitted to ward at the K.H.M.H. tonight, the victim of a late night shooting. According to police, around 10:30 on Monday night, twenty-seven year old Russell Hope claims he was walking near the intersection of Kraal Road and Kut Avenue when he was ambushed by a man with a gun. Hope says the gunman jumped out of the shadows and fired a single shot. The bullet hit Hope in the left leg and the shooter made his getaway. Hope is now listed in stable condition and the culprit is still at large.
