Human Remains at Antelope Street Yard?

Today police went on the south side looking for what’s reported to be remains of a baby buried in a yard.  Reports had been circulating since Sunday that a mother had killed and buried her newborn at a yard on Antelope Street Extension. This morning, there was no confirmation on this report at the press briefing and the cops would only say that they were processing a scene of what are “suspected human remains.” Here’s the little that cops shared today:

“There is a matter that police are dealing with as we speak on Antelope Street. There is information that police are working with that there may be suspected remains – human remains – at that location. Police are out there with the pathologist, the doctors and we are looking into that.”

When we visited the scene this morning, occupants of the yard said that they didn’t know what was unearthed. One woman told us that she believes someone who has a grievance with her may have malicious made the report to police. She told our news team that no one from her house would conceal human remains in that manner.
