Bus accident on Hummingbird Hwy. kills man

A traffic accident on the Hummingbird Highway over the weekend has claimed the life of a Hope Creek villager. According to the cops, around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, twenty-nine year old Jose Amilcar Garcia was riding his bike near mile eight and a half when he was run over by a bus. The driver, fifty-seven year old Randolph Coleman, says he had just passed Garcia and another cyclist when he hear a loud noise and slammed on the brakes. Upon inspection, Coleman found Garcia under the bus suffering from head and body injuries. The victim was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital, but he died shortly after. Charges have yet to be filed against Randolph Coleman.
