Calling All Actors for New TV Series
If you have a passion for acting or just want to see if you have what it takes, then you might want to head out and audition for a part in the “Life or Death” TV series. It is a show that will be filmed in Belize later this year as a fictional political thriller set in a fictional country called Costaguana. But apart from on screen talent, the producer of the series says that he is also looking for talented production crew members for behind the scene roles. Today, Filmmaker Cristobal Krusen told us about some of the available roles.

“There are two children, for example, that are really important for us to find. One, a girl of six at the youngest to about eight who would be a creole, I would say and a boy who be as young as eight or as old as ten who would be Chinese. Those are two very important roles we would like to cast. There is a news reporter we are looking to cast here locally and a news camera man that we are looking to cast locally. It is just a number of parts. You can go to our Facebook page “Life or Death Series” and there is a description of all the different characters that we are looking to cast here in the country.”

“And you don’t need any acting experience, although that may be a plus?”
Cristóbal Krusen
“It could be a plus, that’s right. I have often worked with people who have never acted before but they have that spark, that sort of natural gift or talent and it is wonderful working with people like that. That is what the audition process is about, though, it is finding those who have, let’s just say a gift, and if they have experience as well, that is a plus. But you are correct, you don’t have to have had experience to audition. We are open and we would love to see a really wide range of people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Maybe this will be someone’s great break. You know, it could be your great break. You don’t know. I don’t know. But there is talent here in this country. There is enthusiasm here in this country. I know there are many people who love an opportunity to act in something like this and we’ll just have to see.”
