Child killed crossing Western Highway
A child was killed Thursday evening after being hit by a car on the Western Highway. According to police, eight year old Alton Robert Goff was attempting to cross the road between miles two and three, when he was knocked down by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, Gail Martinez, told police that Goff suddenly ran onto the highway in front of her. No charges have yet been filed and Martinez is being questioned by authorities.
