The other shooting occurred on Sunday morning inside gang territory on South Creek. Thirty-four-year-old security guard Robert Strekler was shot to the lower back by a gunman at the corner of Fairweather Street and South Creek. It is believed that the gunman wanted a person with whom Strekler was conversing. ASP Cowo explains:

“Upon making checks at the hospital, they observed Miser Robert Strekler, a Belizean security guard of #3168 Supal Street. He was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his left lower back. What we understand is that Mister Robert was speaking to a male person at South Creek when someone came from the other side of the canal who hid behind some bushes and fired several shots in his direction causing the abovementioned injuries. Based on what we have observed and the investigation, it was the other person who was along with him who was the other target.”
