Bz. City assault victim dies of wounds

The search is on for a suspect in connection with the death of a Belize City man. Thirty-three year old Luis Alberto Pinelo, of a Northern Highway address, was found badly injured as the result of a fight he was involved in on Baghdad Street at around 6:00 Saturday morning. Pinelo died of his wounds on Monday evening at the K.H.M.H. Although police have not recovered the weapon, they believe his assailant hit Pinelo over the head with a piece of board or some other blunt object. The motive is unclear at this time, but the attacker fled the scene on Pinelo’s bicycle. Police are asking any member of the public with information about this crime to please call the nearest police station.
