Ride-by shooter still on the go

In crime news from the city, tonight Belize City police are looking for a man involved in a ride-by shooting. According to police, around 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon, twenty year old Jervis Valencio was riding his bike on Vernon Street when he passed another cyclist going in the opposite direction. But instead of waving hello, Valencio says the other rider pulled out a nine millimetre pistol and fired a shot. Valencio quickly ditched his bike to dodge that bullet–and the four that followed–by hiding in a yard. Lucky for Valencio he rode away unhurt, but at news time tonight, the unidentified shooter was still on the loose.
