NOPCA to observe Child Abuse Prevention Week

Every year hundreds of cases of child abuse are reported to authorities. It is an alarming situation that requires immediate attention. Next week, under the theme “Abuse–no excuse”, the National Organization for the Prevention of Child Abuse, NOPCA, is observing Child Abuse Prevention Week with a series of educational activities. In addition to school visits, NOPCA is coordinating a road march for primary and secondary school students on Monday. The parade starts at the B.T.L. Park on Albert Street and ends at the Memorial Park. Other events include stops on the talk show circuit and a remembrance ceremony for the victims of the child murders.
