N. Hwy accident leaves O.W. farmer dead
A farmer from the Orange Walk District is dead tonight, the victim of a traffic accident. According to police, around 1:30 on Wednesday, sixty-eight year old Miguel Blair, a resident of Tower Hill, was riding his bicycle near mile fifty-three on the Northern Highway when he was knocked down by a pick-up truck. Blair sustained serious head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Northern Regional Hospital. The driver of the vehicle, thirty-six year old Evernid Perez of Orange Walk Town, says the man on the bicycle crossed the road without warning. As of news time tonight, no charges have been filed against Perez.
