Gang Feud Leaves 3 Injured on Mopan Street
The violence over the weekend was not confined to Mayflower Street or the murders. Five persons were injured in three separate shootings in the city, for which three victims have been treated and discharged and another remains in critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. A few hours after the pandemonium in Ghost Town, gunfire erupted in rival territory. Three persons were injured during a shooting incident on Sunday night. Seventeen-year-old Tyrick Myles, thirty-two-year-old Natisha Tillett and twenty-seven-year-old Derrick Pineda came under attack when a pair of gunmen rode up on motorcycle in front of a Mopan Street address. All three persons were under a two-storey wooden house when the spray of bullets commenced. When the smoke cleared, they were all injured to varying degrees. While Tillett and Pineda have been treated and released, Myles remains hospitalized at the K.H.M.H.

“Sometime after eight p.m., police were called to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they saw two male persons and a female suffering from various gunshot wounds. The first male person was identified as Tyrick Myles, he had a gunshot wound to the right side of his buttocks. The other person was identified as Derrick Pineda, he had a gunshot wound to the left calf and Natisha Tillett, she had two gunshot wounds to the right foot. What police have gathered so far is that all the above mentioned persons, along with other persons were at a house on Mopan Street when two male persons approached them on a motorcycle and the passenger of the motorcycle pulled out a firearm and fired several shots in their direction causing the above mentioned injuries to the three male persons. Two of them, Natisha and Derrick were discharged from the hospital and Myles is admitted in a stable condition at this moment.”
