Mario Guerrero Beaten to Death at Sunset Park Home
A sixty-four-year-old businessman was beaten to death with a barstool in the Sunset Park Community on the George Price Highway. According to police, they were called out to the murder scene after nine on Sunday night where they found Guerrero dead outside in the yard. Unconfirmed reports are that there was a woman along with Guerrero and the two men, but police would not confirm the involvement of a third person in his murder. It is not clear why Guerrero was killed; while robbery is suspected, police say nothing was taken from the house. We understand that there is information that shows that the assailants wanted to take one of the vehicles from Guerrero’s property but reportedly didn’t know how to start the vehicle. News Five’s Andrea Polanco tells us more about this callous attack on the sixty-four-year-old.

“Hattieville Police were called to an area in the Sunset Park, Western Paradise. Upon arrival to that location, they visited #1234 Sunset Park, which is a boatyard area where they observed the motionless body of a male person on lying on the ground under a tent. The person had multiple injuries to the head and was bleeding profusely. Also, beside him was pieces of a broken stool.”
Reports are that Guerrero was seen socializing with several persons over the weekend. Guerrero allegedly took two men to his home in the early hours of Sunday morning. It is believed that he went home to get money to go back out and socialize with the trio. But that never happened because the two men killed him – which was all captured on surveillance cameras. The men reportedly attacked Guerrero with a bar stool in the yard sometime before five on Sunday morning. The footage reportedly shows that the attackers whacked Guerrero with a barstool until it broke into pieces. It is alleged that one of the men then use one of the legs of the broken stool and struck Guerrero more than thirty-times – beating him to death. Police say nothing of value was taken from the home.
“The area inside the house was checked and everything was intact. We suspect that he was attacked whilst he was outside under the tent.”
