Beverly Smith-Lopez laid to rest
This afternoon Beverly Smith-Lopez was laid to rest following a funeral service at St. Ignatius Church. The size of the crowd reflected the tremendous number of lives she touched during an all too short career as an educator, dramatist, comedienne and arts administrator. Our camera caught the procession on Euphrates Avenue en route to Lord’s Ridge Cemetery. Beverly Smith-Lopez died on Wednesday of heart problems at the age of forty-five.
