Prime Minister kicks off nationwide tour
Today, Prime Minister Said Musa embarked on the first leg of a nationwide tour, signalling the start of what promises to be a long election campaign. The mission started in Corozal Bay this morning where the P.M. toured parts of the Corozal district with Minister of Works and area representative Vildo Marin. The government officials stopped at several schools, including the Mary Hill Primary School where educational materials such as books, computer software, a flag and maps of Belize were presented to staff and students. The P.M. then spent a working lunch with religious, civil and educational leaders to discuss pressing issues in their respective fields. Still on the move, Musa then headed to the Santa Rita area where he toured two housing projects and handed over the keys to new homeowners. The P.M. ended the day by inaugurating a pier extending into Corozal Bay and inspecting the renovations underway at the town market. Tomorrow, the PM will remain in Corozal, visiting the Corozal Community College, the Centre for Employment Training and meeting with members of the business community.
