Police Chase Leads in Shooting at Mayor’s House

Police today gave an update on the shooting at the Valencia Street residence of Mayor Belisle. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett confirmed today that the department is exploring a lead into who targeted the mayor’s house.

“The investigation is still ongoing. We are following one lead to determine whether or not there is any evidence to support that lead. However, we are still urging the public’s assistance in any information they may have that can assist in this investigation to please come forward and assist us.”

“Would you hazard to say if police have any ideas that they are exploring in terms of what investigation instincts are saying with what happened with Mister Belisle’s house?”

“No, not at this point in time. But as I mentioned before the officers are on the ground conducting investigation and looking at several possibilities.”
