Windell Neal at it Again; Held for More Swindling
Twenty-three-year-old Windell Neal pleaded guilty to obtaining property by deception from the Belize Book Center. On April thirtieth, 2018, he’s accused of collecting one hundred dollars from manager Andrew Bennett after posing as a supplier from Carmelita Village in Orange Walk. He took a package to the center and told them that they had a balance of two hundred dollars and that they must pay him one hundred dollars first before they could collect the box. Neal was fined ten times the amount by Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. The thousand-dollar fine is due by September thirtieth, in default ten months’ imprisonment. But Neal was sent to the Central Prison this evening as police executed a bench warrant on him in relation to another case. In January he was accused of taking one hundred and seventy-six dollars from a legal secretary as payment for delivering a glass door from Leslie’s Imports. He was given until Monday to pay that fine. Neal also has outstanding cases in Orange Walk and the Benque Viejo and San Ignacio areas as well as in Belize City.
