UDP launches campaign to march on Belmopan
Exactly four years ago today Belizeans went to the polls to vote in the general elections. After the ballots were tallied, the People’s United Party won twenty-six of twenty-nine seats. Since then the United Democratic Party has played the part of Opposition, but tonight they say they begin their countdown to victory. According Patrick Faber, the party’s candidate in the Collet Division, the political rally will have a message of change.
Patrick Faber, UDP Candidate, Collet Div.
“We want to signal with this event that the UDP is ready, it’s poised, it’s just waiting for the government to call elections. We are kicking off with a bang here this evening because we want the electorate to know out there and we want the government to know that we are ready and we are serious about taking on the reigns of this country.”

“What can people expect if the come out here?”
Patrick Faber
“Well they can expect as usual, dynamic speeches. Our main speaker will be of course, Honourable Dean Barrow, our party leader. We’ll have other speakers including Yellow Man and they can expect entertainment to the max, surprises out here, the usual that you can expect at political rallies. But I again, the focus here will be marking the starting point for our march to Belmopan.”
The rally starts 7 o’clock tonight at UDP headquarters at the foot of the Bel-China Bridge.
