PC Mitchell Cobb Found Dead Behind Corozal Police Station

By all accounts, the passing away of a police officer found unresponsive outside of the Corozal Police Station, appears to be of natural causes.  On Sunday night, while his colleagues were making their rounds on the compound, they happened upon the motionless body of Police Constable Mitchell Cobb.  Despite all efforts to rush him to the hospital for emergency medical assistance, the cop was pronounced dead on arrival.  Police say they are awaiting the result of an autopsy to determine the cause of death, although it does not seem that PC Cobb was the victim of foul play.

“Sometime around ten p.m., I believe, last night, while police were patrolling the compound, a male person dressed in police uniform was seen lying between some vehicles in the compound and upon the officers examination the person was identified to be police constable Mitchell Cobb who seemed to have been motionless.  As a result, he was removed and taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.”

“Sir, he was on duty, right?”

“Yes, he was.”

“Were there any known pre-existing health issues that anyone at the station or in the command was aware of?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, I am not aware of that.”

“Any signs of injuries?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, no signs of injuries.”

“But you have spoken with his colleagues who were on duty with him to determine who last saw him…”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“I believe it is the same officer who found him who may have seen him earlier in the night.  The post mortem should be ongoing this morning to determine the cause of death.”
