Bus, car collide on Western Highway

Shortly after two this afternoon, a tour bus and a car, travelling in opposite directions, collided around mile twenty on the Western Highway. Modesto Lizarraga, the driver of the Novelos bus, says he was transporting a number of tourists to Belize City, but as he reached a curve he saw a car heading towards him. Lizarraga says there was little he could have done to avoid the crash.
