Trade mission will go to Guatemala
Last month it was a sister city mission; this time it will be a trade mission that hopes to foster friendlier ties between Belize and Guatemala. A release from BELTRAIDE today announced that a delegation of government officials and business people will travel to Guatemala City from the twenty-seventh to thirty-first of August to promote increased contact across the border. The visit will include an exhibition of products from the two countries, field trips and the signing of a formal agreement to encourage trade and investment. Organisations involved in the initiative are the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belize Business Bureau, Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce and Non-traditional Exporters Association.
