Bike rider gunned down on West Canal
Police are having no better luck in finding a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a man in Belize City Friday night. Sometime after 7:00, twenty-two year old Jose Chavarria was riding his bike on West Canal between Prince and King streets, when he was gunned down. According to authorities, their investigation reveals that a man approached Chavarria and shot him several times. Chavarria was pronounced dead on arrival at the K.H.M.H. At this time, police say they do not have a motive for the murder, and members of the Chavarria family say they do not know who would want to kill him.
