Police Brief on Trial Farm Shooting in which 4 Persons were Injured

Within twenty-four hours, there were three shootings in the north, west and south of the country that have left six persons hospitalized. On Tuesday, shortly after eight p.m., Orange Walk Police responded to the Northern Regional Hospital and then to the residence of Nazario Herrera in Trial Farm Village where a wild shooting landed four persons, including a pregnant woman in the E.R.  Herrera, his common-law-wife Diana Ack and friends: Monico Gomez and Victor Ku were injured to various parts of the body. A lone gunman, with whom Herrera had a previous beef, reportedly over a land dispute, opened fire on the unsuspecting group. Up to thirteen shots were fired from a nine millimeter gun and all victims, except Herrera and Ku, remain hospitalized in a stable condition.
