Man Accused of Murder Granted Bail
From the CCJ in Trinidad to the Supreme Court in Belize, a third and last person accused with the 2013 murder of sixty-one year old truck driver George Blanco was granted bail today. Thirty-year old Roque Middleton, received bail of twenty-five thousand dollars before Justice Adolph Lucas. Middleton, however, has to meet various conditions including that he presents himself before Justice Marilyn Williams when he is so requested, that he reports to the Queen Street Police Station every Friday, beginning on July eighth and he is not to interfere with witnesses. Two other accused men, Alton Bailey and Roger Hernandez have already received bail. Blanco, a resident of Yo Creek was shot and killed in October 2013 in Sand Hill as he drove a meat delivery truck along with his employer, Abraham Penner. Penner was robbed of close to the thousand dollars. A fourth man, Frank Elijio, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and handling stolen goods in connection with the incident.
