Security guard killed in hit and run accident

A traffic accident in the Corozal District has claimed the life of a security guard. According to police, just after midnight on Sunday, Julio Catch was riding his bicycle through Xaibe Village when he was knocked down from behind. Motorists travelling on the highway transported Catch to the K.H.M.H. where he later died. Another driver from the Orange Walk District identified the hit and run driver to police and this morning Eddie Noh, a resident of Xaibe, handed himself in to police. He has yet to be charged. Noh’s Honda Accord, with severe damages to the windshield, has since been photographed and submitted as evidence.
