Another security guard robbed of his gun

Yet another Belize City security guard has had his gun stolen while on the job. According to police, Jeffrey Olivera, a K.B.H. security guard, was working at the B.E.L. compound on the Northern Highway. Olivera says he was patrolling the yard just before 5:00 on Wednesday morning when two men walked unto the property armed with nine millimetre handguns. It is alleged the men took away Olivera’s point thirty-eight revolver and destroyed all his communication equipment before escaping into the dawn. By our unofficial tally, this is the seventh incident in which a security guard has been robbed of his weapon in approximately two months.
