Immigration Dept. burgled; nothing taken
The victims of a break-in in the nation’s capital say that nothing was taken, but the mere breach of security is still frightening. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Immigration was forcibly entered sometime on Saturday, the intruders gaining entrance by tampering with the door locks. A preliminary investigation by Director of Immigration, Paulino Castellanos, revealed that nothing was missing, which leads to the question of what was the motive for the break-in in the first place. An investigation may produce some answers as two suspects have already been detained by Belmopan police.
